A wine which enables the coexistence of Sagrantino’s character with the harmony conferred by Cabernet Franc & Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Sangiovese.

Grapes: Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sagrantino.

Training System: Spurred cordon and Guyot.

Harvest Period: End of September until half October.

Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats, maceration on the skin for about 25 days; malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats.

Ageing: In 225 liters French oak barriques for a minimum of 12-18 months; in bottle for 24 months.

Alcohol: 14,5%.

Serving Temperature: 16-18°C.

Consuption: Wine with a great and perfect structure, full-bodied, strong, lingering, with fine-grained tannins. Drink after many years of ageing in bottle.

Colour: Very deep ruby red with purplish reflefctions, impenetrable.

Bouquet: Rich bouquet: from bramble jelly to black pepper, through garden vegetables, notes of cocoa powder and coffee, balsamic notes and pipe tobacco.

Flavour: You can feel the power of this wine, its freshness is remarkable; the tannin is fine-grained, vibrant and ready for a long ageing. Soft, it has a sweet finish and the length is unforgettable.

Food matching: It is perfect with roasted red meats, game, blue cheese and spicy cheese. Due to the long ageing in bottle, we suggest to decant it at least one hour and half before drinking it.
